Ryan's 30th b-day pics

I finally got the pics from Ryan's birthday! I used Rusty's camera so I didn't have to lug my big one around all night. Thanks to everyone that came to help celebrate. Ryan had a great time! Here are a few pics from the night:
Dustin, Brittany, Brandie and Kyle
Me and Nicole
Ryan, Meredith, Jana and Clint
Nick (Jennifer was in Port A that weekend), Liz and Ryan
LeeAnn and Stewart
Kyle, Ryan and Rusty decided they needed to take shots....
Mmm- not as easy as it used to be to take tequila shots!

Ryan pulled our waitress aside before we all sat down and specifically said he did NOT want the birthday hat and song. Well, that's no fun, so I decided to override that one!! No one wants a party pooper! :)

He was a good sport!

Yee-haw!

Christmas Train

A few weeks ago we went to the Grapevine Santa Express compliments of Nana and Pops. We always try and do some sort of fun Christmas outing and the kids loved this! It resembles the Polar Express train and the kids all wear their Christmas jammies. Very cute and everyone had a great time! Thanks Nana and Pops for a fun night!
Daddy and Addyson
Frosty and all the kiddos

Rudolph and the kiddos

Addyson and the Grinch. She was kind of scared of him at first and then she always has this weird thing where she likes to be scared and so she decided she needed a pic with him!

Addyson wanted to sit with Aunt Brittany during the train ride. Here is her face when she saw Santa coming down the aisle! She was so cute because she really wanted to tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas (princess dresses) and when Santa came and just hugged all the kids, she was very sad and concerned that she didn't get to tell him what she wanted! So cute!
However, we did find him later and here she is detailing her list! She felt much better after she got to tell him!
Hugging the blow up polar bear!

On the way home- thought this was funny. She had about 2 inches of crack hanging out while up on dad's shoulders!

We had a great time!!

Late Thanksgiving pictures!

I know, I know- these are a little late. That's the story of my life lately! Here are a few Thanksgiving Day pics from my parents house.

MiMi and PaPa with the girls. Not a great picture- I think they were all mid-blink! I think they were all on the couch watching Sleeping Beauty in full princess attire!

Hallie and Addyson being silly!

Addy eating a cookie dressed as Snow White. She puts this on the second we get to MiMi's house.

Family pic- you can see the belly a little. It's kind of a loose shirt, so it's not too obvious in this picture!

My little asthma patient

Poor thing! We have to do this for 20 minutes each morning and each evening for a month.

Stealing

Addyson is in to this thing now about saying she is going to steal something. It's actually pretty funny if you know what she is talking about but I have gotten some weird looks from people out in public if they hear her. Her sitter, a.k.a Mommy Nessa, always says at the end of each day that she is going to steal a kiss from Addyson and she gets her real quick and kisses her. It's their little game that they do. Addy thinks its funny! Well, except for now, Addyson keeps talking about stealing things. Like yesterday for instance, we ran over to Ray's pharmacy to get a pedi mask for her nebulizer treatments. The one we had was too big for her face and kept coming off. I sat her up on the counter and she picked which animal she wanted and the guy was ringing it up and Addyson blurts out, "I'm going to steal that" and laughs. The guy behind the counter just kind of looks at us funny. It's too long of a story to explain to someone right then and there what she means or where she got that from so I usually just smile and act like I didn't hear it or something! She has done this several times where she says in a store that she is just going to steal "X" and then she laughs!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is Ryan's 30th birthday! We had a fun party this last weekend on Saturday night. A lot of our friends and family were able to gather at Pappasito's for dinner and then we went out to Baker Street Pub in Fort Worth for the rest of the evening. I did not bring my camera. That is one bad thing about having a big, nice Nikon camera. It's a pain to lug it around because it is so big! So, I had Rusty take some pics- I'll get those from him and post them later. It was a fun night- thanks to everyone who came!

Sunday Ryan played golf and then we did his birthday dinner at his parent's house. We had steak and scallops- it was yummy! Thanks to mama Cheryl for getting all of that together!Today, Ryan's actual birthday was pretty low key. He worked all day- not too exciting! But I guess that's what happens when you turn 30. I took Addyson to the doctor this morning. She has her cough back and it has been coming back every few weeks. She has already been on 2 rounds of an oral steroid and that's not the best thing to be on. Her cough has gotten progressively worse over the weekend so I called at 7:30 this morning to see when I could get her in. Diagnosis: Full blown asthma. We've known that she has asthma for some time now, but now Dr. Sampson wants to probably put her on a daily medicine for it. She prescribed her an inhaled steroid for twice a day for a month. Fun times! 20 minutes in the morning and at night on the nebulizer for 30 days. Ugg- I guess it could be worse but any time Addyson is on meds it is such a chore. But I shouldn't complain because at least there are meds out there to help her! I kept her home for the rest of the day and we made daddy brownies for his b-day and she slept for almost 4 hours!! It was such good sleeping weather!

Tonight I made Ryan a yummy dinner- Chelsea's church chicken (couldn't find the post to link it to..), broccoli (did I spell that right??), acorn squash and brownies. Of course, my camera battery was dead so I didn't get any cute pics of Ryan and Addyson blowing out the candles. Also, I made the brownies with applesauce instead of vegetable oil and umm, they were not near as good. They always say that you can sub applesauce for the oil in any recipe, but it wasn't very good. The brownies were very dense and cakey. Oh well- at least they were low cal!

On a last note- Addyson has been calling me "old lady" lately. I have no idea where she would have heard that but she uses it whenever she can. Like today at Target while waiting for her prescription. She was in the cart and wanted out and I said- No- stay in there. Then she wanted a ring pop and I said No again. She then proceeded to yell at me (there was like 10 people waiting too) at the top of her lungs- " That's not fair you old lady". Nice. I just laughed to myself (without her seeing me) and ignored her. I quitely told her- Please do not call mommy an old lady. Tonight she wanted me to do something and I was doing something else and she yelled- "Come on you old lady!" I was like -seriously quit calling me old lady!! I said, please next time say "Come on sweet mommy". She thought for a minute and said "Come on you sweet old lady!" Ha- I guess that's better than just old lady!! Again, not sure where she picked that one up....

More funny sayings!

Addyson is at such a cute age! She always says things that make me laugh. Lately she is always talking about "when she gets older". A lot of her sentences begin with that phrase. Tonight we went to Starbucks and then we were going to look at a few Christmas lights. When we pulled up at the Starbucks drive through Addyson said, "Oh goody, I am hungry". I said, "Well, we are just getting Daddy a coffee, we are not eating here." She thought for a minute and then said, "I would like to get a coffee like daddy". I said "Mmm, I don't really think you would like coffee", and she replied, "When I get bigger I will get a coffee just like dad" and then I was like , "okay- great idea!".

Daddy got his coffee and she said, "Can I have a drink of dad's coffee?" I said, "Well, I don't really think you would like it" and she asked "Why". I said, "Well, coffee is really an acquired taste". She again pondered for a minute and said, "Mmmm, I love acquired tastes!". Ha- so cute!
