Update:
Thought I posted this last Thursday..... guess I was a little loopy and I did something wrong! More details and pics to come!
More details to come soon (or later- whenever I get to it!!) but Ben was born at 1:27 this morning. I was having contractions last night and just decided to play it safe and go get checked. Sure enough I got to the hospital and I was dilated to a 3 and my contractions were about a minute to a minute and a half apart. A C-section later and Ben is here!!! He is 8 lbs 11 oz, 20 inches and just perfect as can be! He has hair and looks like a little old man and he does have some cheeks on him!! Pictures to come soon!

Cheeks!!
37 weeks and counting!
I went in to the doctor today for my 37 1/2 week appt. I was so excited- I was just sure that lots of progress had been made! Well, not so much! I am still dialated to a one- ugg! I thought for sure I would be at least a 2 by now. Again, not so much! I think I am just getting impatient because I have been in the "any day now" mode for a while! I do like the anticipation of all of this, so I really am trying to enjoy it! It's looking more and more though like a March 5th baby! That is my scheduled 39 week C-Section- but I never really thought I would make it that far. That is only 10 days from now, so we'll see. It may happen! I also had a sonogram today and everything looked good there as well. He is in perfect position (not that it matters for a C-section) and heart, fluid, everything looked good! His estimated weight was 6 lbs 13 oz, although my Doctor still feels like he is bigger than that. There is a pound to a pound and a half margin for sonograms, so you never know. As the sonographer put it- he is 5 lbs of baby and 2 lbs of cheeks! He has the chubbiest little cheeks and you could definitely see them on the sono. I wish I could upload the pic- I'll try that later. It's so cute! I can't wait to just pinch those little cheeks!! Speaking of chubby cheeks :) - here is a picture of me at 37 1/2 weeks!
Belly pic!

And of course, my sweet little Addyson with her Anaconda snake!
Friday night we had Kyle, Brandie, Karson and Kallie over for dinner and to play. Addyson and Kallie dressed up (of course) and had so much fun together! It was nice because they completely entertained themselves the whole time and we could just visit with Kyle and Brandie. Kallie is a year older than Addyson, but they have a great time together!

The rest of last weekend was spent entertaining Addyson. Ryan got her donuts on Saturday morning and then we took her to the movies again. The Princess and the Frog is playing at the dollar movies now and she was so excited to go. She made it through the whole movie this time and had lots of fun with mommy and daddy! We came home and put her down for a nap- got up at 5:15, freshened up and then met LeeAnn, Stewart and Hallie at Chuck E. Cheese. The line was out the door and there was a 2 hour wait to get inside- no thanks! So, we loaded up and drove down to Peter Piper Pizza in Burleson which is basically the same thing. The girls had a blast eating pizza and playing games. Fun night! Sunday we went to church and just hung out around the house the rest of the day.

36 weeks!
Well, I made it! 36 weeks and I am officially off of bed rest! Yea! Last Friday was actually the 36 week mark, so I'm really 36 1/2 weeks! I went to the doctor today and I am 1 cm dialated and she said that I could go at any time, or it could still be 2 1/2 weeks. We'll see! I have been feeling a little crampy this afternoon.... If I were to guess, I would say I would have him some time next week.
My tummy measurment actually went down this week. Last time I measured 37 cm and this time I measured 35 cm. She said this is very normal and it means that he is moving down and a lot of times measurments of the tummy in the 30+ weeks are not all that accurate.
She felt around and guessed that he was probably about 7 lbs. She scheduled me for a sono for next week to do a more accurate weight check. So, I go in next Tuesday for a sono and another check!

No Power!
Our power went off this morning at 5:45. Lovely! We sleep with a noise fan on, Addyson's monitor (which is basically white noise!) and so when everything shuts off it gets very quiet! I am trying to explain the "we don't have electricity" thing to Addyson and she doesn't quite grasp the concept. She always crawls into our bed in the morning to watch cartoons. I told her - No cartoons today and she insisted that we try every TV in the house just to check to see if it worked. She wanted to lights on to go to the bathroom this morning and I said- "sorry, no lights!". She just kind of looks confused! I finally said, "Addyson, we don't have lights, TV, a microwave (she likes oatmeal every morning), a fireplace, etc". She then ran into the kitchen and yelled, "MOM- We DO have a microwave, look, it's right there!!". She was so excited like she made a big discovery that I had somehow missed! Hopefully it comes back on soon. We have never lost power in our house before- somehow we always get lucky with that, but not this time! Hope everyone is staying warm!

SNOW!
Here are our snow pics from today! Addyson loved playing out in the snow until her "toes started burning" as she put it and then she was ready to come inside! Here is our little snow bunny all bundled up!
Daddy and Addy started in on a snowman!

One of mommy's scarves...
Putting on the hat! And the eyes and mouth are spray paint. It's all we could come up with....
The carrot nose....
And wa-la! He's done!!
Our house in the snow! I am so thankful for our warm house on days like this. Just somewhere covered and warm to step in to when it gets too cold outside. Not everyone has this luxury.

My footprint- showing how deep the snow is. I think we have about 7 or 8 inches out here!
Attempting to make snow angels!

One last pic of Frosty! We'll check on him in the morning!

Oh yea, and here I am- the photographer. I'm looking REAL cute here- no make up, toboggan, A&M sweatshirt on my 36 week preggo belly! Nice!

On that note, I hope I don't go into labor tonight. The roads would be really hard to drive on and I just hope I can hold on for a few more days at least! I stopped my meds yesterday and I have had contractions here and there, but nothing too crazy yet!

34 1/2 weeks!
Well I've made it to 34 1/2 weeks! This is a good thing! I feel good that if he were to come any time he would be okay now! However, if I can make it past 36 weeks, which I am sure that I can, that would be even better. I had my doctor appt. today and everything looked good. I measured 37 weeks on my tummy. I wanted her to "check" me, but she said she wanted to wait until next time. I am so impatient- at this point in the pregnancy I'm just like let's get the show on the road! I'm anxious for him to be here, but then my rational side says, WAIT- enjoy this time while you can!!
I had gained 3 lbs in the past 2 weeks. Not too terribly bad, as a pound a week is what is recommended or "normal". That brings my total to 28 lbs so far. With Addyson I gained around 39, so hopefully I'll just gain a few more and be done with that! I have been super hungry lately though and I feel like I just eat all day. I try to eat healthy snacks- I bought grapes, blueberries, apples and bananas at the store the other day and eat those for snacks. However, I have also been having a sweet tooth and the other night I started craving smores. Yes, like you make when you are camping! So, I sent sweet Ryan to the store to get marshmellows, chocolate and graham crackers. I've been making these little treats all week. Yummy!! Just pop them in the oven on broil and wa-la- Smores!
I also saw a commercial for Nutella the other day. Have you ever had this delicious little treat? It's a chocolate hazelnut spread and they show it spread on toast. I, however, like to put this on everything! Apples, bananas and last night I was dipping my popcorn in it. It has the consistency of peanut butter. Ryan was getting grossed out because I had the jar and a knife and I was just dipping myself little bits here and there. He took it away. I took it back!!
Fun times eating lots of yummy stuff while preggo!
