Whoop! Go Aggies!

I was so excited when the Aggies beat Tech last night! If there is one team we love to beat, it's Texas Tech!!! It doesn't happen very often, but boy is it nice when it does!!! Especially when it's on their turf! My sweet sister-in-law, Kiley, was at the game. She had gone to visit some of her friends at Tech. She was texting me updates throughout the game. It was greatness!

Beautiful chaos!

Well, today is my birthday! It hasn't been very glamorous, just another day. I got lots of nice texts and calls today- thank you to all who called me! I worked in Stephenville today at Tarleton and met up with my boss's boss. We had a few appointments, got stood up one time, and then we were done. I stopped in Weatherford on my way back in and had 2 more appointments. So, a busy work day. On the way home I was trying to coordinate with Ryan on what we were going to do tonight. Ryan got back late last night from being out of town for basically 6 days and he had a busy day today as well. So, I wasn't expecting anything really at all! I wasn't trying to be a marder about it- I really didn't care if I ate cereal at home! I knew we would probably get together at some point this weekend with friends, etc. so doing something on the actual day of my b-day really isn't a big deal. Ryan's mom then called and wanted to set something up for everyone to meet for dinner tonight. Long story short- we made plans to go to PF Changs and then for various reasons everyone had to cancel, so we ended up at Spring Creek BBQ with me, Ryan and Addyson!

After waiting in line for seriously 30 minutes (they were doing a school fund raiser of course) we got our food and settled down to eat. Of course then Addyson decided she needed to go potty, she dropped her roll, she started crying because she wanted red jello instead of the organge (that was at first green), blah blah blah. At several times Ryan and I looked at each other during dinner and just laughed at what our life has become. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade it for the world, it was just a little crazy! I said at one point- can you even imagine what life will be like when we have a baby to tote along with us as well???? We both decided spontaneous out to eats will probably not be happening!

We then got home and it was so chilly outside that I said I was going to take a nice (quick) hot bath and relax a little. So I turned on the water and in came Addyson runing and saying that she wanted to get in with me. Whatever- that's fine. So, the bath tub was filling up and I stepped in to a nice ice cold tub of water. Lovely! I had forgotten that this morning I suspeced our hot water heater pilot had gone out. My shower wasn't cold, but it never got super hot, so that is usually a sign that the pilot blew out. Well by now, all the hot water was for sure gone. Big sigh. Oh well- I tried. Again, I just laughed because it was about par for the course today!

I guess this is what happens when you turn 29- I am seriously not complaining at all!!! I have a LOT to be thankful for and I don't discount that at all and I honestly would not want it any other way! It's just funny how things change! It kind of reminds me of the song called My Front Porch Looking In- love that song!

Highs of the day- Ryan brought me flowers and Addyson gave them to me and said "I love you so much mom, Happy Birthday!" - so sweet!

Why we don't play with bats in the house

Tonight I was playing baseball with Addyson in the front yard. When we were done, she wanted to bring in her bat. I was like- whatever. I really didn't think twice about it. I came in the house and started fixing her dinner and not 30 seconds later I heard the crash. It's really my fault because who lets their kids play with bats inside? Oops! I didn't even say anything to her like- Be Careful with that or anything. I guess I was in the "play with whatever you want mode so mommy can fix dinner". At least it wasn't anything major that broke- just a cute decorative pumpkin that sat on the coffee table. Definitely replaceable!

Pumpkin Patch!

This weekend was busy as usual! Friday night Ryan was at a bachelor party so Addyson and I went to a PJ party at my friend Jana's house. We hung out over there with some girl friends (Jana's hubby was out of town also) and the kiddos played. Addyson was pretty tired around 10, so we headed home. Fun evening!
Saturday Addy Tate and I just hung out and played. Ryan was still at bachelor party. It was such a beautiful day! We played softball in the front yard, bikes, etc. and had a good time. Saturday afternoon I had her pictures taken outside- I hope they turn out good! I haven't seen any of them yet, but she was in a good mood and wasn't being defiant about taking pictures, so that is always a good sign. She is at an interesting age where it's hard to get her to pose like you want her to, so we'll see. Hopefully we'll get a couple of good ones!
Saturday night we celebrated my b-day with my side of the family. I got to choose the menu- Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, rolls, fruit salad and chocolate sheet cake w/ice cream! YUMMY!! This is my fav that my mom makes! It was all very good- thanks everyone for coming and celebrating my b-day with me! My b-day isn't actually until Thursday, so we were celebrating a little early. It's the big 2-9 this year- woo hoo!!

Today Ryan left for Datyon, OH for some work meetings so it's back to me and Addy Tate again! Ryan is actually out of town a lot the next few weeks, so guess I just need to get used to that! This afternoon I met Jennifer, Nick, Clayton, Missy (Jennifer's mom) and Laura (Jennifer's sister) up at the pumpkin patch by Kohl's in Arlington. There were tons of people out there but tons of pumpkins and it was another beautiful day, so all was good! Addyson wasn't too in to posing for the camera, but that's okay. She just wanted to play! Here are some pics:

This and That

Tonight I went to neighborhood Bunco. It's always a fun gathering of neighborhood friends. The lady that hosted this month did a great job and her house is so beautiful! It inspired me that I think we need to paint our whole house. This is going to be an undertaking, especially since I'm preggo, but I see a nice Christmas break project for Ry Ry coming!!! I really don't know if I think we could paint our whole house ourselves. We have a lot of wall space now, but it sure would look nice! Wel'll see.... Anways, I won a nice basket tonight at bunco and I was excited about that! I love winning prizes!

On another note, I don't think I've blogged about the fact that Addyson is pretty much potty trained. This has been going on for about 2 months now and things are going well! She does have the occasional accident, which is going to happen, but overall she is doing great! I still put a pull-up on her at night and sometimes she wakes up dry and sometimes wet, so I don't think she is ready to go without one at night yet. One day a couple of months ago I just decided that that day was the day to try panies all day. She did great! I think she really knows when she has a pull-up on that she can go in it, so she would. When she had on nothing or panies, she was pretty good about going in the potty all of the time. Here's a pic of tonight in her Dora panies- so cute! When she gets home each day she usually ends up like this for the rest of the evening. She'll take off her clothes, go potty, and usually ends up in nothing! I have to force her to put on undies at least!

And then when I tried to get her to smile for me, she tried as hard as she could to do anything but smile. Hee Hee- she can be stubborn at times! Looking at this picture it doesn't even look like her!
I scheduled some pictures of Addyson with Missy Saunders for this Saturday. I have never met her but I have seen her work on some of the blogs I read and I think they are really cute pics and she has good prices, so I thought I would try her out! I wanted to get Addyson's 3 year pics done and so I am excited about that! It will probably be the last time I get her pics done of just her, so I wanted to do something extra special!

Dallas Fair

Today we ventured out with Mimi, PaPa (my parents), LeeAnn, Stewart and Hallie to the Dallas Fair. It was again a blast and we had a great time! The weather was a little suspect this morning, but it never rained on us, just chilly and cloudy. Perfect fall weather! We hit all of the highlights of the fair and I had a tummy ache when we got home. Too much fried food and junk!

Addyson at the petting zoo feeding the animals. This is always a hit with her!

Addy and Daddy. Have I menioned lately what a great Daddy Ryan is?? I don't think I have. He is the best and Addyson and I are super lucky to have such a great daddy. He would do anything for his girls and we love him very much!

Addyson feeding the big pig!

Lunch- all she wanted was chocolate ice cream. Okie-dokie- cho-loc-it (as she says it!) Ice Cream it is!

Yummy- thanks mom!

Daddy was on a mission to win Addyson something big again this year. Remember the purple "care teddy" from last year? Well, this year Ryan spotted a big Dora the Explorer early on and had to have that for his baby girl. After $XX spent, we are now the proud owners of another piece of you know what fair toy! Dora actually has a wrinkled smoker chin, but Addy didn't seem to mind!

Mommy and Addy eating a funnel cake- I think this is what gave me a tummy ache! Eww- I don't want another one of these. Although it was good at the time! This was after a nice big Corn Dog as well! Yummy!

Addyson and Hallie riding the log ride. We rode this one twice.. :)

Addyson on another boat ride. She was only into the water rides today!

We had a fun weekend and I am worn out! Off to bed for me!! Circus post is below... keep reading!

Baby update: I have started feeling lots of little kicks lately! I love that! :)
