Forgot the stats!

I forgot to post Addyson's 4 year old appointment stats! I took her to her check up on Monday and she had a fever. Go figure! That meant no shots of course. I had been absolutely dreading the 4 year old shots and we got/had to postpone them! She ended up just having a virus of some sort and was better by Wednesday - thank goodness because Ryan and I left Wednesday morning for Boca Raton (we're still here right now!).

Weight- 39 1/2 lbs 80th percentile- slimming up! :)
Height- 42 inches 92nd percentile- still tall!

She surpassed her milestones as always and Dr. Sampson said she looked great! Just what I like to hear!

Now off to the beach for a day of R&R in some beach cabanas. We will have college football on flatscreens, butler service for lunch and drinks all day and beach activities. Now that is what I call a relaxing day!

Addyson Tate turns 4!

Our sweet Addyson Tate turned 4 last Saturday. It was SUCH a busy, fun day! The night before her birthday (and really like weeks before!) I was telling her that when she woke up the next day she would be 4! She got the biggest smile on her face and was so excited. I just absolutely love the excitement of kids with things like this. Even the little things are a big deal and it is so fun to watch! She got up at 7:15 and ran into our room and said "Good Morning Mom and Dad, I'm 4!!!" It was really cute! All morning she would say things that she was going to do now that she was 4. For example, usually hair brushing is a battle. She screams that it hurts, runs from me, etc. Well on Saturday morning she handed me the brush and said, Look mom, I'm not going to cry when you brush my hair because I am 4!! So I brushed her hair and she didn't cry! She really felt like a big girl! 4 is such a big age to me. I have been really looking forward to it but it really to me, signifies a big kid. 4 is an age where kids are really supposed to grow out of some of the toddler stuff and be really pleasant. We'll see!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! :) Addyson has always been a really good girl and I can't wait to see what this next year brings for us. SO excited!!

We, of course, made the day all about Miss Addyson. Which she just eats up! She got to pick where she wanted to go for breakfast. Donut shop won! They know her in there (probably because she takes 10 minutes to pick out her donuts- she is indecisive like her mama!). So, she settled on a big basket (of which she ate about 4 bites- too excited for the day!) and her chocolate milk. Breakfast of champions!

Being the food inspector- just like her mama.
Me and my baby girl!
Not sure what Ben thinks about this.....probably GET OFF OF ME! (if he could talk!)

After breakfast we dropped Ben and Daddy off at the house so Ben could nap. Then me and Addy went to pick up the cake. Oh yes, the cake. I ordered this over the phone last week and said I wanted a really pretty princess cake. I was so pleased with the way it turned out. Addyson was SO excited to go and pick it up and it turned out so cute. A perfect princess cake for our little princess! It had all of the Disney princesses on it! She had requested a strawberry cake with no strawberries and pink icing. Love it! These pictures don't really do it justice in my opinion- it was really super cute! (And really good cake too!)

After we got in the car I asked her how much she liked her cake- she said "This much!" (You can't really tell but her arms are stretched out as big as she can!)
Next at home was present time from Mom, Dad and Ben! This probably deserves a post of it's own but here it is in a nutshell. We got her the Zhu Zhu pet city- all the parts (disco, tree house, salon, garage w/car, etc), 3 Zhu Zhu pets and all the accessories. Ryan spent 2 hours putting it together on Saturday and then we both decided it was a PIECE of you know what and he took it apart and returned it the next day to Toys R Us. She ended up getting a Mobi VTech Game thing and some games that she picked out...... The Zhu Zhu pets got stuck in all of the tunnels and it was a piece. Enough said! We also got her a princess art set.
She played all afternoon and then we got ready for her party. Pump It Up!

Sweet little Graham!
Ben had fun too!

I have a million pics of this but I guess I only uploaded a few! Kids had fun bouncing!
Party room- cake, chicken nuggets and presents!
Reid and Claire

About to blow out the candles!
Make a wish!Yummy!
Little buddies! (Clayton and Ben!)

Opening presents!
We love you sweet girl!
So if that wasn't enough excitement in one day- we went to Joe T's after the party with Dustin, Brittany and BBP!
We had the mariachi band sing to Addyson. She wasn't really a fan.... She looked at me and said Too Loud!! Mom they are singing too loud!

Addyson was SOOO wiped out at the end of the day (and so was I!). She literally passed out on the way home while holding all of her balloons. I threw her into bed!
We had such a fun day and I can't believe my sweet little girl is already 4! We love her more than words can say! Happy Birthday Addyson!

Daddy date night!

Tonight Ryan took Addyson out to dinner and to a movie. Our little princess turns 4 tomorrow!! So crazy to think about! Ryan really wanted to take her out just him and her. He loves his baby girl so much and I absolutely love that he loves to spend time with just her! They went to Johnny Carinos and then to the movies. It was between 3 movies, so I'm not sure what they are seeing.
I'm home at a nice quiet house. Ben is asleep and I am going to get everything ready for her party tomorrow and hopefully a few things done around the house. We have a busy day tomorrow. Addyson gets to pick where/what she wants for breakfast. Last I heard it was between the donut shop and the pancake place. We'll see what she decides tomorrow. Then we have to go and pick up the cake and party favors. Come home, open presents from mom and dad and then off to the party at Pump it Up! Fun day for my sweet Addyson Tate! Love her more than words can say!

Halloween 2010

Halloween night (last Sunday) everyone came over to our house. We cooked chili and cornbread and then everyone else brought an appetizer or dessert. Fun times! All the kids were so cute in their costumes. Usually, we are doing lots of driving on Halloween going to visit our parents friends, grandparents, etc. This year the kids are old enough where they really understand trick or treating and so we felt that's what they needed to do! They had so much fun!
This cracks me up. Bosten's mustache was greatness!
Group pic!
Hallie and Addy (we fixed Addy's costume after this so it wasn't a boobie mermaid costume!)
Daddy and his little baseball! (Ben's costume was perfect seeing as there was an exciting Ranger game that night!)
After EVERY house Addyson would run up to me and say, "MOM, Look they gave me candy!!!" She was very excited about this. One house handed out whole candy bars and you would have thought they had just given her a thousand dollars!
We had a fun night!!

Oh yes I did.....

Friday the kids wore their Halloween costumes to Mama Nessa's and had a little party. Addyson was very excited to wear her Mermaid costume. She did, however, wake up that morning and tell me she wanted to be a cowgirl. Too bad!! I knew she would do that. She changed her mind on costumes 10 times before we settled on the mermaid and then when I bought it she liked it for 5 minutes and then wanted to be something else. She was happy once she had it on though!

Emma, Addyson and Hallie
Bennie Boo!
So, now, on to the title of this post. Friday night Ryan and I had a costume party. We have this party every year and every year about an hour before the party we are like, hmmm what are we going to be? We scrounge the internet for couples costume ideas that we can throw together from stuff in our closet. So we came up with this...... we were Chilean miners. Yes, we were just rescued from the mines and we are a little dirty! You might wonder, what is Lisa wearing??? Did she have her name monogramed on her Halloween costume?

I found this little gem of an outfit in my closet! Yes, our Senior jumpsuits or whatever they might be called. Ha! It still fits like a charm- it must have been really big back in the day! It had dust on the collar but other than that was good as new! I had some good reminiscing laughs thinking about how cool we all thought we were in our Dickies jumpsuits on Football Fridays! And to top it off we heard the song "Warrior" on our 80's satellite radio on the way to the party!

It made for a good Chilean Miner Halloween costume 11 years later. Who would have thought!

8 months old!

Mr. Ben turned 8 months old yesterday! I can't believe it! He's still the sweetest little ball of love I could ever imagine! He has been scooting around for a while now (maybe a month?) on his tummy but now he has finally perfected his little crawl. Let the fun begin! Here are a few action shots!

Taking a break for a little toy chewing... :)

And of course, some pictures of my pretty little Addyson who is loving being a big sis!
As I was taking this one of her you can see Ben spotting something in the background...
And then he gets it..... sneaky little thing! Let the exploring begin!
Doing "airplane" with Daddy! He thought this was pretty funny!
Ben is still sleeping from about 7:30 at night to about 7-7:30 in the morning. He takes 2 naps from about 9:30-11:30 and then again from about 1:30-3:30 or 4. He eats baby food 3 times a day (morning, lunch and before bed) and seems to like most everything he eats. He takes 4 6-8 oz bottles as well. He is now up to size 4 diapers, size 12-18 month clothing. I am not exactly sure what he weighs- we go in this Friday for a flu shot so he'll get weighed then. I would guess 21-22 lbs.

Overall, he is happy, healthy and a sweet sweet boy!

Dirty 30!!

Friday night was my "Dirty Thirty" party and it was a good time!! We all had fun- or at least I did! Thank you so much to everyone who came to celebrate! Katie decided to really hammer in the "dirty thirty" theme and so that was funny all night. The phrase of "Dirty Lisa" also surfaced many times in the night. We had a good time laughing about all of that! Here's an overload of pics!

We had dinner and drinks out at Party on the Patio at Tierra Verde Golf Course. Once a month they have a big party with live music and it just happened to be on my birthday this year. I definitely want to go back (they start back up in April) because it was lots of fun! The Ranger Game was on the TV's outside, the weather was great and they had a band that I thought was good!

Liz and Ryan- Liz is due in about a month with their first baby- a girl!! She looks so good!
Levi and Nick watching some of the Ranger game!
My sister LeeAnn and my brother in law Stewart
FRIENDS OF THE YEAR- introducing Chelsea and Nick! Chels and Nick had tickets to the Ranger game for Friday night and they came to my b-day party instead! Seriously, you don't come across friends like that very often. Ryan even said that if he had gotten tickets he would be at the Ranger game!! Okay, I really don't think he would have been but you never know.... :) Thank you guys so much for coming to celebrate with me- I had so much fun with you both!
Jennifer, Kim, Nicole, me, Kiley and Katie! Some of my besties!
Another one....guess I uploaded it twice!
Brandie, me, Jana and Brittany. Love these girls!
Me and Brandie!
Me and Ryan! He was so sweet to plan everything! Friday during the day we went to Northpark and went shopping, had lunch and celebrated all day! Love you!!
Me and Chelsea
Ryan and Meredith

The Dwinell sistas!
Squints made an appearance and stayed most of the night! (Squints was my name in college due to my eyes getting very squinty when I have a few....)
Really, is this my 21st??
Me, Meredith and Brandie
Wow....

Time for cake! Yummy!!

Frosted Pink did not disappoint! We had pumpkin with buttercream icing, Lemon with lemon buttercream, Strawberry with Strawberry cream cheese, and chocolate with cookies and cream icing. Seriously. I love this place!
Me, Ryan, Kyle and Brandie. Love these guys!
Marcy, Jennifer, Lisa, Kim and Nicole. Thanks for the bunny ears in the back Kyle...:)
This is when the real party starts! Please excuse my embarrasing dance moves!!

The guys were able to watch the Ranger game while the girls were out dancing and singing with the band. Go Rangers!!!

Ryan and Nick

Again, Wow. I sure was chipper that night!
Me and LeeAnn (my sister!)
One too many margaritas!

We were up on stage several times helping the band sing! I think my camera was on some weird setting... oh well, you get the idea!

We even had the band saying Dirty Thirty and Dirty Lisa... Nice.. :)

As you can see I had a great time!! Saturday morning I woke up feeling like a million bucks! Seriously, I didn't feel bad! I took 2 Advil before bed with a big glass of water. I was good to go on our road trip to Choctaw! We left at about 9:30 am and picked up Chelsea and Nick to drive up to Durant, OK. Wow- what a beautiful place Durant is! Joking! The hotel is nice, rooms were nice and we had fun! I didn't take all that many pictures while I was there... just a few!

Nick had a couple of really bad beats in Poker.....he was not a happy camper! And I don't blame him! The poker room took my money too....
That night we went to dinner at the only real restaurant there...1832 Steakhouse. The food was good once it was cooked right! We had a "hickory stick" of a waiter as Ryan referred to him as. He was probably a native of Durant, OK and pronounced words like linguine as "leeeengueeeenie". Pretty funny! Then he proceeded to ask Chelsea if she wanted her Cosmo martini dirty.....um, excuse me? No thank you I don't want olive juice in my cosmo. Thanks though for offering!
The rest of the night consisted of playing 3-card poker and some slot machines. Chelsea and I decided that we would spice things up a little by having a "story" of why we were there. It consisted of Ryan and I being on our honeymoon. Someone new would sit down at the table and Chelsea would inform them that Ryan and I were on our honeymoon. Ryan would then chime in with, well this is our second time to get married and I would respond with RYAN, you don't have to tell everyone that!! People were like, Oh, well, you know that kind of stuff happens! Chelsea and Nick were from Bangor, Maine and had driven to Durant, OK to meet Ryan and I there from California, where we were from. Everyone was pretty intersted to ask why in the world we had picked Durant, OK to meet in. We explained how perfect of a meeting spot this was for Maine and California! We went on and on about how much we loved Durant. I think everyone believed us, it was pretty funny. You might have had to be there, but it was funny!
I had a great 30th birthday weekend!!
