Today Ryan and I woke up and we didn't have a thing on the agenda. Days like this are nice but it seems like we have had a few of them lately and so we were like, hmm, what can we go and do today? The weather is so cold so that eliminates 80% of the things we would normally go and do- play outside, go to the park, go to the zoo (not that I could have done this one anyways), etc. So Ryan looked up the dollar movies to see what was playing. "Real" movies are so expensive these days and when we are taking Addyson, unless it is something that she really wants to see, then I don't want to waste the money to go! I didn't even know there were dollar movies anymore, but apparently there are! So, we found a theater in North Richland Hills where they have $1.25 movies all day! It's movies that have been out for a little while, but not too long. The only kid movie showing was "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" and I thought Addyson might enjoy that one. We loaded up the car to make the 11:20 showing. We got there and paid a whopping $3.75 for the 3 of us to get in. Love that!!! I mean you can't do ANYTHING for $3.75 for really even one person, much less 3!
We were the only ones in the theater at first and it wasn't a completely ghetto theater either. It was a little old school, but not too bad. For those of you in the area, it is called Movies 8 and it's right next to Lone Star Baby in NRH. So, the movie starts and Addyson is all excited. This lasts for about 45 minutes until she is over the movie. I admit- I was pretty bored too! It wasn't a very exciting movie- its about a scientist kid who makes rain change into food. Cute, but it lacked princesses, an evil witch, etc. and so she lost interest. She asked if we could go eat lunch and so Ryan and I agreed that we could leave and have no bad feelings about wasting money!
Off to Chick-Fil-A to eat lunch and play on the playground. She loves this! We then came home and as I am writing she just woke up from about a 2 1/2 hour nap! Yea! We're going to MiMi and PaPa's for dinner tonight, so have to go and get ready!

Addyson's first dentist appt!
Addyson had her first dentist appointment today and as you can see from the pics below, it went very well! She was really excited to go- I've been talking it up for about a week now. I told her she was going to get her teeth tickled by Joe Joe. Our dentist's name is Joe! Yes, we're on a first name basis. I've known them for about 10 years now- I used to work there in high school and some in college over breaks and such. I just love Joe and Judy (his wife)- they are really great people and we've stayed in touch for a long time now!

Sheri doing the cleaning. She would show Addyson all of the tools she was about to use and put them on Addyson's finger so she could see what it felt like before she put it in her mouth. She also got X-rays too- she did really great!
Cleaning away! They said her teeth looked really good and she has good spacing- which is good for when her permanent teeth come in!

Ben's room- finished!
We finished Ben's room! Yea! Ryan, AKA Handy Manny, has been hard at work building, shopping, painting, you name it! I am really lucky to have such a great hubby that is a good little decorator and builder! Here he is below building a bookshelf for Ben's room. I needed one piece of furniture to fit in this certain spot, so Ryan built it to fit perfectly!
We did wainscoting for the back of the bookshelf to add a little nautical touch!

Here is the view from the doorway...

Ryan built the mirror- well, we had an old mirror and he tore it apart and re-framed it with cedar to match the dresser. Looks great!
The rocker and floor lamp....
The bookshelf that he built. Fits perfectly! We found some little decoration things at Hobby Lobby like the lamp, boat and ship wheel on the wall. I need to go upstairs and get some more books for the bookshelf, but I can't really walk up the stairs at this point! I will still put a few more things on the shelves, but this is all we have for now!

This afternoon Addyson and I decided to have a tea party! She was all dressed up already and so we got out the china and had our pizza and milk! She thought this was pretty fun!

We were going over manners and such and so she was using her please and thank you's and mamn's. After each sip of milk she would say, mmmmm, delicious!
She then wanted daddy to join us. He was having his pizza on a regular plate and she insisted that he change to china. So, being the good daddy that he is, of course he cooperated! Right when I took this pic he said, don't go posting that to your blog! Ha- I said it was cute and so he said whatever!

Count down!
I had my 32 week appointment on Tuesday of this week. She said everything looked good for now. I've still been having contractions here and there, but nothing regular, so I guess that's okay! Yesterday I was really crampy- it almost felt like I was brusied in my very lower abdomen. Feeling better this morning though, which is good! I am sure I am just at the end stages of pregnancy where everything is uncomfortable and such. Ben is still moving around lots- I can tell he is getting stronger because his movements are very uncomfortable sometimes when he moves his feet and legs. I'll just rub the spot on my tummy and he's pretty good about moving them back to somewhere more comfy for me!
I do have an induction date set- Friday, March 5th at 7:00 AM. Yea! This is 39 weeks and I could be wrong, but I doubt I'll make it to that point. If I do, wow, I might be the size of an elephant at that point! She is still planning to take me off my contraction medication and all of my bed rest restrictions at 36 weeks, which is Feb. 12th. So, sometime between Feb. 12th and March 5th little Ben will make his appearance into the world! I can't wait to see him!!
We're almost done with the baby room- I'll post pics when everything is in place!

Games and PIlls!
Addyson is really in to playing games lately! It's been fun! She got some Old Maid Cards for Christmas and the game Candy Land. She caught on very quickly how to play each game and she likes Ryan and I to play each evening. She also loves hide and seek, although I am like-really??? You think I can't find you?? She'll hide in the middle of the living room with a blanket covering her (or maybe even half covering her!) while she is laughing hysterically. She's still in the "I can't see you, so you can't see me" stage! It's cute! Here she is "hiding"...
I've polished off one of these and am a quarter of the way done with this bottle. I will probably have to get one more before it's all said and done! Fun times!!
Here I am silly mommy!!

On another note, she definitely notices that I am taking pills all the time. She knows when my phone alarm goes off that it's "pill time!". The other day she said, "Mommy, when I get big like you can I take pills too?" I started laughing and I was like, "Well, if you need pills, you could take them but only if your doctor says you them." She smiled and replied, "okay, I can't wait to get bigger and take pills". Hmm, a little concerning. Don't want her thinking that taking pills is the cool thing to do, but how do you explain that concept to a 3 year old?? I'm popping these things every 4 hours! Earlier today my tummy was hurting (I get this weird pain in my upper abdomen- not contraction related, I had it w/Addyson) and I said, "Ouch, my tummy hurts" as I was bending over getting something. She looked at me and said, "Mom, you better go take a pill so that baby doesn't fall out". Ha- she's pretty perceptive!!

Baby Shower!
Saturday my wonderful friends hosted a baby shower for me! It was so nice and so much fun and I really appreciate all of them doing this for me. The shower was a brunch with all of my favorite food! We had breakfast casserole, coffee cake, fruit, sausage rolls and cupcakes. They also made tropical mimosas- mine was made with gingerale and it was super yummy! The shower was at Jennifer's house and everything was great! Thanks Jennifer, Kim, Nicole, LeeAnn and Brandie for doing this for me and thanks to everyone who came to help celebrate Baby Ben!
My dear friend Tiffany made these adorable cookies as favors! They are so cute and I appreciate her taking the time to make these- I know they are not a quick thing!

My mom made this adorable quilt for baby Ben! I was going to pick out a pattern that I wanted but I couldn't decide on what I wanted so I told her to just pick. I love it!!

Ryan's mom gave us our jogging stroller- thanks Nana!! I was super excited to get a new stroller as I didn't like my previous one!
