Dirty 30!!

Friday night was my "Dirty Thirty" party and it was a good time!! We all had fun- or at least I did! Thank you so much to everyone who came to celebrate! Katie decided to really hammer in the "dirty thirty" theme and so that was funny all night. The phrase of "Dirty Lisa" also surfaced many times in the night. We had a good time laughing about all of that! Here's an overload of pics!

We had dinner and drinks out at Party on the Patio at Tierra Verde Golf Course. Once a month they have a big party with live music and it just happened to be on my birthday this year. I definitely want to go back (they start back up in April) because it was lots of fun! The Ranger Game was on the TV's outside, the weather was great and they had a band that I thought was good!

Liz and Ryan- Liz is due in about a month with their first baby- a girl!! She looks so good!
Levi and Nick watching some of the Ranger game!
My sister LeeAnn and my brother in law Stewart
FRIENDS OF THE YEAR- introducing Chelsea and Nick! Chels and Nick had tickets to the Ranger game for Friday night and they came to my b-day party instead! Seriously, you don't come across friends like that very often. Ryan even said that if he had gotten tickets he would be at the Ranger game!! Okay, I really don't think he would have been but you never know.... :) Thank you guys so much for coming to celebrate with me- I had so much fun with you both!
Jennifer, Kim, Nicole, me, Kiley and Katie! Some of my besties!
Another one....guess I uploaded it twice!

Squints made an appearance and stayed most of the night! (Squints was my name in college due to my eyes getting very squinty when I have a few....)
Really, is this my 21st??
Me, Meredith and Brandie
Wow....

Time for cake! Yummy!!

Frosted Pink did not disappoint! We had pumpkin with buttercream icing, Lemon with lemon buttercream, Strawberry with Strawberry cream cheese, and chocolate with cookies and cream icing. Seriously. I love this place!
Me, Ryan, Kyle and Brandie. Love these guys!
Marcy, Jennifer, Lisa, Kim and Nicole. Thanks for the bunny ears in the back Kyle...:)
This is when the real party starts! Please excuse my embarrasing dance moves!!

The guys were able to watch the Ranger game while the girls were out dancing and singing with the band. Go Rangers!!!

Ryan and Nick

Again, Wow. I sure was chipper that night!
Me and LeeAnn (my sister!)
One too many margaritas!

We were up on stage several times helping the band sing! I think my camera was on some weird setting... oh well, you get the idea!

We even had the band saying Dirty Thirty and Dirty Lisa... Nice.. :)

As you can see I had a great time!! Saturday morning I woke up feeling like a million bucks! Seriously, I didn't feel bad! I took 2 Advil before bed with a big glass of water. I was good to go on our road trip to Choctaw! We left at about 9:30 am and picked up Chelsea and Nick to drive up to Durant, OK. Wow- what a beautiful place Durant is! Joking! The hotel is nice, rooms were nice and we had fun! I didn't take all that many pictures while I was there... just a few!

Nick had a couple of really bad beats in Poker.....he was not a happy camper! And I don't blame him! The poker room took my money too....
That night we went to dinner at the only real restaurant there...1832 Steakhouse. The food was good once it was cooked right! We had a "hickory stick" of a waiter as Ryan referred to him as. He was probably a native of Durant, OK and pronounced words like linguine as "leeeengueeeenie". Pretty funny! Then he proceeded to ask Chelsea if she wanted her Cosmo martini dirty.....um, excuse me? No thank you I don't want olive juice in my cosmo. Thanks though for offering!
The rest of the night consisted of playing 3-card poker and some slot machines. Chelsea and I decided that we would spice things up a little by having a "story" of why we were there. It consisted of Ryan and I being on our honeymoon. Someone new would sit down at the table and Chelsea would inform them that Ryan and I were on our honeymoon. Ryan would then chime in with, well this is our second time to get married and I would respond with RYAN, you don't have to tell everyone that!! People were like, Oh, well, you know that kind of stuff happens! Chelsea and Nick were from Bangor, Maine and had driven to Durant, OK to meet Ryan and I there from California, where we were from. Everyone was pretty intersted to ask why in the world we had picked Durant, OK to meet in. We explained how perfect of a meeting spot this was for Maine and California! We went on and on about how much we loved Durant. I think everyone believed us, it was pretty funny. You might have had to be there, but it was funny!
I had a great 30th birthday weekend!!

Last day of my 20's!!!

Well, it's official! As of tomorrow I will be OLD!! I won't lie- it's kind of been a weird feeling knowing that today is my last day of my 20's. What a fun, exciting, extremely blessed last 10 years it has been! Wow- to think of all of the things that have happened in my 20's is quite amazing to think back on. Here are a few of the highlights!

21st birthday! Enough said there! :) Back in college days- fun to think back on those times! I don't think I had a digital camera "back then" - thank goodness ;)
At the ripe ol' age of 22 I graduated with my Masters Degree in Accounting from A&M ready to conquer the world! Ryan and I got married in June after graduating and started into the "real" world.

Ryan and I built a house and enjoyed being married just the 2 of us for 3 years. It is weird to think back on life before kids, just me and him and the dogs. Oh yes, the dogs. They got lots of attention back then.

First house! 4204 Fox Court!

The dogs giving me some lovin! Ahh!

New Year's trips down to Port A! Fun times!

Ryan and I took a trip to Philadelphia!
Just having fun hanging out with friends!

2 weeks after I turned 26, we were beyond blessed with our sweet Addyson Tate. She has been the absolute joy of my life (of course, now both of my children are!)

Good thing I was in my 20's when we had this little fireball! She has always kept me on my toes! And I'm sure she always will!!

29 came and so did little Bennie Boo! I love this little guy more than words can describe! I am so beyond blessed for my 2 healthy, happy children.
Hello world!

So that brings me to today! October 21, 2010 the last day of my 20's! Let's see, Ben was up all night crying, I worked all day and then came home to my wonderful family! I can't complain- I have such a great life and I am so thankful for every day. I have a wonderful family, so many true friends, a great job, me and my family are healthy and that is something to be so thankful for!

Me and my babies tonight!

Happy Birthday mommy! A cookie monster! Yum!!
Make a wish!
Let's Party!

Here's to 30 more great years! I am hopeful that my 30's will bring even more wonderful happenings and fun times with family and friends. Just think- when I am about to be 40 Addyson will be almost 14 and Ben will be 10! YIKES!!!!!

Funny story...

Quick funny story from this morning...no pics, but you'll see why in a minute!

I was loading the kiddos up in the car this morning and all of their stuff. It usually takes me a couple of trips to get both kids, bags, my stuff, purse, etc all into the car. I went into the garage and Addyson went out there and I hit the "up" button for the garage door to open. I went back inside to grab a few more things. I came back out probably 20 seconds later and I saw Addyson hanging from the garage door, holding on for dear life!! I wish I could have had a picture of my face when I saw that! I yelled, "Addyson" as I was running over to her. She then started to scream (had been completely silent before that with big, wide eyes) and I ran over to her. She then let go and I caught her. She was all the way up at the top of the garage, facing out into the drive way. She was crying, I was just holding her and then I started to laugh (once I realized she was completely fine!)- I was like What in the World were you doing?!??

She said she was looking for bugs and then took a little ride up (that was how she described it!). Ha! When I first looked out there I didn't know if her fingers were stuck or what in the world she was doing. It was pretty funny to walk out there and see her hanging from her hands, feet dangling in the air from basically the roof line!

This could have ended in 10 ways that would not be good- if she had let go it could have been a nasty fall, she could have gotten her fingers crushed in between the cracks (ouch- makes me cringe to think about it), a million other scenarios..... thank goodness she was okay and that I came out when I did to be able to catch her!

Our week in pictures!

I'll start with tonight because I uploaded the pictures in backwards order! So, backwards it is because I don't want to mess with re-arranging them! :) Tonight we hung out at the house and did nothing exciting! Ben was being really happy (and so was Addy for the most part) so I got out the camera and got a few pics. Addyson has been really helpful with Ben. She likes to feed him and she does a good job! She fed him baby food while I made his bottle!
Ryan was giving Ben kisses in his neck and Ben would laugh so hard. It was really cute!
This picture makes me smile because he was getting so tickled. Such a sweet baby! (Who loves his daddy by the way!)
Family pic- minus mom. Isn't that the way it always goes?? :)
Out of order- another one of Addy feeding Ben.

Earlier this week we went on a walk. It was a little chilly so I put this super cute hat on Ben that Chelsea gave him and bundled him up. Yes, he is in a pink stroller. I guess that is what happens when you have an older sister! He fell asleep on his walk and was out!

Last Friday night we had Chelsea and Nick over. It was so much fun seeing them! We celebrated Chelsea's birthday! Addy loves her some Chelsea!! Chels was so sweet and brought Addyson some books from her school book fair and we've been reading them all week!
Addy and I made Halloween cookies last Friday as well! They turned out yummy!
My little kitchen helper!

Ha- this is kind of funny! So I was reading Parent's magazine the other day and it was talking about ways to get some nutrition into your kids. It said that Pumpkin was an excellent source of all kinds of things and that you should add some to pancake batter. So, that's what I did. We had pumpkin pancakes for dinner one night. They were pretty good and Addyson didn't know the difference!
I actually fed some to Ben for his baby food and he liked it! Yum Yum!
I took Addyson out to the zoo last Friday afternoon as well. We had a great time! Jennifer and Clayton came with us and we had a great time seeing all the animals. When Addyson was between 1-3 we seriously went out to the zoo about once a week and we haven't been out there in almost a year. So, it was fun to go!
Addy getting her some brother time. She really does love him!
Before the zoo, Addyson wanted to dress herself and this is what she came up with. We removed the fairy wings and tu tu for the zoo...... :) She was very proud of her outfit though!
That's all for now! Hope everyone has a great rest of the week and weekend!
