Girl or Boy?
I posted a poll on the right hand side of our blog so you can vote if you think we're having a GIRL or a BOY! My initial feeling was girl- but a lot of people are guessing boy, so I don't know! I think we should find out at the first of October! I love that appointment!!

Our weekend
We had a busy weekend as usual! Friday night we met over at Ryan's parents house and Dustin, Brittany and their kiddos came over. We all went to eat Mexican food and then came back over to Nana and Pop's house to play. It was a fun time! The kids all enjoyed racing in the front yard, being silly and eating ice cream!
Saturday I wasn't feeling 100% and my sweet husband got up and cleaned house, did the yard and went grocery shopping! Thanks honey! That night Chelsea and Nick came over for dinner and dominos. They taught us a new game and it was fun! Of course, the girls won! Ryan made dinner (again- thanks honey!)- chicken and sausage gumbo, bread and fruit salad. It was yummy!
Sunday we got up and went to church and then over to Ryan's parents. Ryan is building a wall-unit/storage furniture piece for a room at their house and he was finishing that up and getting it moved into the room, etc. It looks really nice- there are still a few things to be finished, so I'll post pics when everything is done. Sunday afternoon we came home, all took late naps, had dinner and went to bed. Pretty exciting!
Today I had a Dr. appt at 11 to get my 11 week injection. The nurse found the heartbeat right away and it was 160 bpm, so that was good! I have to go back tomorrow for my official visit with the doctor. It will be my first time to see the Dr. and she'll do the full exam, etc. Fun times!
That's all for now- I'll post pics one of these days!

Guess what....:)
Well, I have been super bad blogger lately. I didn't have my compuer for 2 weeks which was so crazy to me, but it was actually a nice little "break" from my obsession! Plus, I have been tired, no energy, etc. etc. because I am PREGGO with number 2!!! So, I guess that is a pretty good reason, huh?
So, I am 10 1/2 weeks pregnant with a due date of March 12, 2010. We were really wanting a spring baby, so this works out just perfectly! I have had a little bit of a bumpy road so far, but now everything looks good (so hesitant to write that!) so I thought I would announce it to the blog world!
I found out like 5 days before I missed my period - anyone that knows me well knows that I am obsessive over HPT (Home Pregnancy tests, for you newbies!) and I always try to find out as soon as possible! So, I got a positive when I was barely 4 weeks pregnant. That sure makes the time go by slowly when you find out that early, but oh well! I had all of my hormones checked (with Addyson I had low progesterone, which can cause miscarriages) and all of that looked good. She wasn't going to check my levels again for like 3 more weeks and I asked if I could check them again in a week and she said okay! Not that I am a fan of getting blood done, it's actually one of my very least favorite things. So, when she re-checked it, my progesterone had gone down to like 11.2 and it has to be at an 11 to sustain the pregnancy. So, I started on injections that I have to get once a week for 12 weeks. That's been fun! But again, you do what you have to do!
So, then at 7 weeks I had my first sono and everything looked good, I thought! We left for Colorado the next day and on the following Wednesday I got a call from the doctor saying she had been trying to get in touch with me and leaving messages at my house. I was like, Well, I'm in Colorado this week! So, she said Dr. C was looking at my sono and noticed that I had 2 small tears in the placenta and that I needed to be on modified bed rest for 3 weeks. Nice- I had just hiked up Mount Crested Butte the day before, carried 34 lb Addyson through DFW airport for 30 minutes running to our gate, etc. Not good ideas for the torn placenta! So, no more carrying Addyson, no more being on my feet a lot, no more standing for long periods of time, just rest. Hence my fun Colorado trip- I couldn't do anything!! But again, you do what you have to do when you are pregnant!
I also was supposed to go to Miami for a week for my sales meeting and I wasn't able to travel due to this as well. Last Friday I went in for another sono to check things out and everything had healed! Yea! I am back to business as usual! :) Although looking back it was kind of nice to be like, I can't clean house, go grocery shopping, etc and I just had to lay around! What was I complaining about??? :)
Addyson has been super sweet about all of this and is VERY excited (for now!) to have a new baby at the house. She kisses my tummy about 500 times a day and is constantly talking about the baby and how she wants to help. Tonight she said- "Mom, when the baby gets here I am going to give it a bath, change it's diaper, give it a bottle and then do TICKLE MONSTER on it!" as she laughed really hard! I said- Okay!! I really do think she'll be a good helper- she's very motherly!
So far I've been craving any kind of fruit! I was up at 3:30 AM the other morning eating Watermelon and that always sounds good to me! So, that's better than hot fudge sundaes that I was wanting last time. The other day we took Addyson to get ice cream and I didn't even want any! That is super weird for me! Oh, and Chicken Mini's at Chick-Fil-A- mmmmmm! I was so mad today I got there at 10:33 and they were out! Darn!
Anyways, that is it for now! I'll keep you all posted as things progress!

Funny sayings
Addyson has been saying such funny little things lately- she always makes me laugh! Today in the car we were going to "Ms. Vanessa's house" and I was saying something about it. Mid sentence she interrupted me and said, "Excuse me mommy, I'm sorry, her name is Mommy Nessa". It was so funny because she said it in a very serious matter-of-fact way.
Addyson is also very interested anytime Ryan or I has a "boo boo". She wants to look at it very carefully and get a treatment for us as soon as possible! Earlier I was looking at my leg because I have razor burn really bad in this one spot. I have a bunch of little red spots and I said, "Look, mommy has a boo-boo"! She looked closely at it and then looked up at me and said, "No, mom, those are just quickels". I said, "What??" She said, "You know, quickels, like those" as she pointed to a few freckles on my leg. I said, "Oh, freckels!" Hee Hee- it was funny!
Okay, when I started this post I thought I had more than 2, but I can't think of any more right this minute!

Colorado- Part 2!
Well, the trip did get better as the week went on. Thank God!! We arrived in Crested Butte on Sunday, July 26th and we were there until Saturday August 1st. It was kind of a
long week and I don't know that I think Colorado (at least where we were) is the best place for a 2 and a half year old! Actually Ryan and I decided that vacationing with a 2 1/2 year old isn't the best idea all around! She's at an age where she wants to do everything but she's really not old enough to do much.
Here's a quick run-d0wn of the rest of the week:
Sunday- 4 hour drive up the mountains to Crested Butte, got settled into the house, etc.
Monday- we took the ski lift all the way up to the top of the mountain and hiked up a little ways. It was gorgeous views and when we got to the top of the mountain, Addyson said- "What do we do now?" Kids can't appreciate the scenery and the views! Had a picnic, enjoyed being outside!
Tuesday- Ryan and pretty much everyone else in the fam went white water rafting- I stayed home with Addyson and Hallie :)
Wednesday- Addyson woke up lethargic and barfing everywhere. We had a day trip planned for a boat trip through a canyon. We had already bought tickets, etc, but due to Addyson's sudden onset of barfing, Ryan and I stayed home with her! Ryan and I played the Wii and just relaxed all day
Thursday- Ryan went mountain biking (got a minor scrape) in the morning and then we went to lunch in the afternoon at a good pizza place in town. My dad's cousin got a really bad bike accident and had to have 3 layers of stiches! Ouch!
Hmm, this is sounding like a fun trip for Ryan so far!!
Friday- drove through a national park that was close by and hiked up some trails to waterfalls. Beautiful views and then we went to lunch in town. Came home and packed and got ready to leave the next day! Ryan, me, my sister and her hubby went to dinner that night at a good Mexican place.
Saturday, we caught an earlier flight and got home around 5:00. I was so exhausted!
I am without my laptop this week (thus the last trip post!) and I'll get it back next week. I can't download any trip pics yet, but as soon as I can I'll post a few!

Colorado Trip - Phase 1
We are in Colorado right now for a "family reunion" vacation! We left early Saturday morning for a 9:20 flight to Colorado Springs. All was going well until Addyson barfed up her cheerios and OJ all over herself. This is only the second or third time she's ever thrown up in her life, so I was quite surprised. We pulled over, got her cleaned up and she seemed fine. Her explanation when I asked what was wrong was "My tummy was rumbling" and "I said Ralph, now it's Hallie's turn!" Ha- apparently she wasn't feeling too bad!! We continued on our way and about 10 minutes later Hallie poked Addyson in the eye really hard and Addy had a major crying fit and wouldn't open her eye for a while. All is fine now with the tummy and the eye, but it was an interesting start!
The flight was good, nice and smooth and on-time which is nice. Addyson and Hallie both did really well on the plane and we were there before we knew it! The fun started once we got there. The girls (or Ryan and Stewart for that matter) have never met my grandma (my dad's mom) and so we were going to meet her and visit with her for the day. Two 2 year olds and my grandma aren't exactly a match made in heaven, so we knew it would be interesting. We got to the retirement center/nursing home and the girls just wanted to run down the halls screaming and getting into things. My grandma was afraid she was going to get kicked out of her home for the last 22 years! But really, what do you expect from the 2 year olds! After lunch I decided to try and put them down for a nap in her apartment and after an hour and a half of wrestling with mainly Addyson, I gave up. Addyson is not used to sleeping with anyone else in her bed and so she kept playing and tickling me, "honking" my nose and giggling, which was keeping Hallie up as well. So, we got them up and took them outside to play.
The evening part was the intersting part because both girls had not had naps and they were a little restless from being cooped up all day and us constantly telling them to be quite, don't do this, don't do that, etc. My grandma reserved a really small room off of the retirement center dining room for 25 people to eat pizza in (by that time all the rest of the family had arrived and were joining us for dinner). To say the least it was a little crazy! The girls were running and chasing each other under the table, sitting on all of the residents walking chairs (and getting bad looks from the staff), screaming, trying to escape from the room, etc. AHHH- it was a lot more stressful than it sounds!! We finally left and went to the hotel and it got even worse! Addyson was SOOOOO BAD! She has never been that bad before. She was being one of those toddler that deliberately tries to do the wrong thing. Everything she knows she is not supposed to do- she wanted to do it. Since the 3 of us were in one hotel room, Ryan and I had to go to bed early so that Addy would go to sleep. We blew up Addyson's mattress and fought with her for umm, about 2 hours for her to go to bed. I was so exhausted at that point! I think it was just a super long day for her and with no nap she was at her worst! She finally went to sleep and woke up at 6 AM, which is 7 Texas time. We were the first ones down for breakfast......
Now, we are here in Colorado and she has been acting a lot better. Yesterday we drove up to Crested Butte where we'll be for the next 7 days. It is absolutely beautiful here and I'll post pics later! Just wanted to give a little update on our trip so far!

4th of July Party!
On Saturday we had a 4th of July party at our house. It was a lot of fun and we hope to have this be an annual tradition at our house! Everyone came over around 4:00 and the kids played outside, swam, etc. Everyone had a good time! Here's a pic of Addyson before the party:

Addyson and Parker enjoying the swings
All of the kids minus Kallie (she was upstairs playing in the playroom)
Reid, Brennan, Addyson, Hallie, Parker, Brooks, Bosten, Karson and Kayleigh
Swimming!
Water balloons!
Sweet Katie!
This was a small preview of the fireworks we did. Everyone turned into little pyros lighting things on fire! At one point Ryan thought it would be a good idea to put a firecracker in a container not specified for that particular firecracker and it exploded about 15 feet in the air sending Ryan's brother Dustin running for cover. It also set off a fire in the field adjacent to our house. Ryan put it out with a beer. Nice.
